Posted on: Friday 08 June 2018Anita Cudjoe 'Shadows of the Day' Found Plastic Rice Bags Anita is an experimental artist with interest in waste plastic rice bags. Cudjoe’s art is environmental activism that examines plastic usage, and the demise it is having on nature. By repurposing waste plastic into resplendent montages, Cudjoe illustrates pertinent social narratives in a enchanting way. She converts found rice bags into optically alluring mosaics that highlight concerns about food security and the challenges faced by disenfranchised communities. Her work is a part of our on going exhibition with Faculty of Applied Arts and Technology - Takoradi Technical University which ends on 1 July , 2018.
