Videobrasil Cultural Association (Associação Cultural Videobrasil) invites all interested artists from the Global South, as well as all members of native peoples and local communities irrespective of their country of origin, to participate to the 21st Comtemporary Art Biennial SescVideoBrasil, to be held between October 2019 and February 2020 in São Paulo. The 21st Contemporary Art Biennial SescVideobrasil is a contemporary art exhibition. The 2019 edition is themed “Imagined Communities”, as a reference to the title of the book written by North American Author Benedict Anderson on nationalism. The 21st Contemporary Art Biennial SescVideobrasil will receive applications of works in any format until the 10th of August, 2018. The winning artists will be awarded with 175,000 BRL as cash prizes and three residencies.
